Will the magnets affect my electronics?

In general, no. While neodymium magnets are powerful, these WILL NOT affect most electronics. There are exceptions (old monitors or TV screens) – but it takes a very large magnet to affect an older hard drive (Breaking Bad, anyone?) and the magnets we use simply aren’t that powerful.

Cellphones are unaffected, neither are vehicle keys, USB sticks, memory cards, CDs, DVDs, digital cameras. Check out this video for a cool demo of things not affected https://youtu.be/lQdd2m8c368

Some hearing aids may react or become damaged if magnets are deliberately placed on them, so we would not recommend using MagLock if you have hearing aids, nor if you have a pacemaker or other implant that is sensitive to magnets.
